The $64,000 question - how are we going to sell this?

As discussed in the "C" Price section, we are not aiming to buy "normal" commodity coffee - we are aiming for specialty coffee

What is specialty coffee?  It is single estate coffee rather like a fine wine where the emphasis is on quality

My many meetings with wholesalers have all indicated to me that they "buy in" to our story, selling coffee as a social enterprise to help others

The 6 minute business presentation shows where the profit is to be made and so verifies the business model.

As mentioned elsewhere, we will be recruiting someone with experience and contacts in the coffee industry to widen our scope although I believe we already have sufficient interest to start.  Continuing success depends on not just relying on the contacts we already have but broadening our scope including into Europe and China

So, what makes our coffee unique?

  1. our relationship with our farmers

  2. top quality product produed in cooperation with our farmers

  3. complete trackability of produce from the field to the cup using blockchain technology

  4. competitive pricing

  5. engaging our customers by showing how to

    1. how to brew the best coffee - a project designed with Luke Pochron, trainer with Matthew Algie using equipment costing a total of £25

    2. the ability to create own bespoke blends using 4 varieties of bean only found in the Philippines

    3. engagement with & opportunity to meet farming communities
